Marshall Golan, D.D.S., founder of Golan Family Dentistry 38 years ago, offers the community the best in family care, cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and periodontics. He is a 37-year Attending at the North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) Dental Clinic in Manhasset, New York. He supervises dental residents in the Special Care Dentistry clinic. Dr. Golan is certified in Forensic Dentistry, Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry and TMJ disorder.
Dr. Golan completed a residency in Oral Surgery at Harlem Hospital. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University School of Dental Surgery. He also has a Bachelor degree in Science from New York University. Dr. Golan is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, Dental Society of New York, Nassau County Dental Society, Alpha Omega Honor Society and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Golan established Golan Family Dentistry in 1971. He is proud to be in practice with his son, Dr. Howard Golan.
Howard Golan, D.D.S., partnered with his father in 1998. He graduated from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry and completed a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York. Dr. Howard Golan also trained two years in the Implant Surgery and Advanced Prosthetic Fellowship Program at NSUH.
In 2004, Dr. Howard Golan received a Mastership Certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute and utilizes the laser for procedures whenever possible. He lectures and teaches laser-assisted dentistry throughout the United States and Canada. Dr. Howard Golan is the co-founder of the Center for Laser Education and is a faculty member with the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Howard Golan is founder and leader of the Laser Assisted Dentistry program at North Shore University Hospital, supervising clinical training of dental residents.
Dr. Howard is a graduate of the Alleman-Deliperi Center for Biomimetic Dentistry and is committed to providing Tooth Conserving Dentistry for his patients.
In 2007 Dr. Howard Golan also graduated from Concord Law School, Los Angeles, California and is a member of the California Bar.
Dr. Jeffrey Etess brings a high level of skill and technical proficiency to Golan Family Dentistry. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge techniques, he provides a pain-free and hassle-free experience, making him the ideal dentist for pediatric patients, who affectionately know him as “Dr. Jeff.” Etess is compassionate to his patients’ concerns and always goes to great lengths to ensure their comfort with every procedure. His “chairside” personality always puts patients at ease. He resides on Long Island with his wife and three daughters, and is proud to be able to serve his local community in a profession that he is so passionate about.
Etess is an expert in all aspects of root canal therapy, including routine and complex procedures, endodontic re-treatments, pulp capping, endodontic revascularization, and all facets of endodontic and implant surgery thanks to an extensive educational background. He has been trained in biomimetic dentistry, allowing him to expand upon holistic dental treatments by reconstructing teeth the way nature intended, using the latest biologically compatible materials.
Etess completed his Bachelors Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at SUNY-Albany. He was awarded his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he ranked among the top 10% of his graduating class. Etess then attended the prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, providing advanced training in general dentistry, with subspecialties including oral surgery, anesthesia, implantology, prosthodontics, and more. He then attended the renowned NYU School of Dentistry, where he earned his post-doctorate Endodontic Certification in 2000. Currently, Dr. Etess has returned to school to obtain his degree and Board Certification in Integrative Biological Dental Medicine (I.B.D.M.) and Naturopathic Medicine (N.M.D.) at The American College of Integrative Medicine & Dentistry, he anticipates his graduation in February of 2016.
Tori Simicic RDH, BSDH has been a Dental Hygienist since 2005. She graduated from Farmingdale University with a Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene. Tori is licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to her patients. Through advanced continuing education classes, she is also certified to do non-surgical laser periodontal therapy to her patients. Dental Hygiene is her passion and it shows in her work. Tori has a very gentle approach that is very thorough, and puts phobic patients at ease with her gentle manor. Living a holistic lifestyle is very important to Tori, and she is very knowledgeable in holistic dentistry. In her spare time, Tori loves to spend time with her husband Brendan and her children Gabriella and Jackson. She enjoys cooking and entertaining for family and friends.
